Hey everyone, for those of you in Tokyo....I'm visiting for a few days with no plans. I'm here NOW. Do you know of anything mazda or car related that I should check out? Or anything fun that is a must do? I've got my translator with me so I can get around. Thanks in advanced for any replies....

Oh, and I plan on tracking down some Z'tune bumper flares while I'm here. Or some other cool JDM stuff!

Good luck. As far as I know, Mazda JP won't sell M'z Tune parts unless you have M'z Tune VIN.

Yeah, we've kicked that idea around. I still don't understand why someone hasn't scanned those bad boys into a CAD system and knocked them off.

I would just be going to dealerships and driving cars like you are moving there.

Chaunchy,
Maybe you might find some knock-offs of the Mz'tune bumper flares or something similar.

How hard is it to track a ztune6 and "borrow" a vin #????

It not just the VIN, Mazda JP checks registration and owner information with purchaser identification.
At least that how it was when a friend of mine was looking into it years ago.
From his experience, getting milk from a virgin goat was an easier proposition.

So far, hanging out in tokyo has been an out of this world experience. I did just go and test ride a 6 here. The JDM one is badass. I like the look and size alot. too bad ours is bloated and soft. Still no comparison to my speed6 though. My buddy is going to take me to a Mazda museum that his father works at. that should be fun. I didn't mean to get everyone worked up on the Z'tune bumber flare thing. I knew that is was impossible.. I had tried a year back to no avail......My buddies father works at Mazda IN Japan and he informed us that they no longer produced them. like rutedown's comment, I was hoping I could just find something of a knock off of sort. And to mazdaspeedster3, good call on the test drive of cars here. Too bad you can't really do it without a Japanese license. I had to get my buddies father to testdriveit first then pick me up around the corner. I got confused with the whole shifter in my left hand though. Pretty difficult to do if you've never done it.
Thanks everyone for chimin' in. I'll be doing more car window shopping over the next few days.

Now that I think about it. You know what you could've done? You could've brought some USDM stuff in exchange for JDM parts. It's weird. The Asia parts market go for USDM stuff, while we go for theirs. lol
