i am looking for kind of a confirmation sound for locking/unlocking the doors. does the mazda in NA comes with that or is it somehow possible to activate?
or does anybody know an aftermarket chirp sound module for that?

if you hit lock once you may hear the locks "thunk" if you push lock a second time within a few seconds you'll hear the horn... ya kinda loud depending on circumstance. Wish it sounded like the soft C note in Vegas. I'm pretty sure the lights flicker when you push lock.

Press the unlock button first. Then click the lock button. Click lock button 2nd time. The horn will beep.
If you hit the unlock button and forget to hit the lock button, the doors will lock automaticaly after some time. I observed this several times.

only if you don't open a door after hitting unlock, within 30seconds or something I think.

Like the OT, I think the alarm system is a bit incomplete without a high-tech sounding electronic chirp. I mean, if there's one thing I'd change first about this cool looking car, it's the WIMPY horn!

here in germany they are selling a chirp sound module, but it costs around 89 € which is around 130 $. way too much only for getting that sound.
i can get a complete alarm with that sound for 35 €. but this one, on the other hand, will be very time consuming to install, not just plug&play.(smash)
so i was wondering if there is any sound module for less money on the us market.
