What brand springs will drop my car the lowest? From searching around, it looks like Tein S-Techs lower the car significantly, but I hear that Tein isn't very good quality springs.

Well I'd upgrade the shocks with the springs.

I know you're searching for springs, but if you're not on a buget, go with BC coilovers. I have mine all the way down. I'm tucking tire slightly all around and have all 4 on the softest setting. Rides a tad bit stiffer than stock. The best suspension hands down, but that's just me.

Any springs will do that to your shocks in due time.
Road magnet would give you a lower drop than H&Rs, but so far I think the S-tech are the lowest (I might be wrong though).

they are a full coil over set up, fully adjustable 32 way dampning pillow ball mounts.... ect thats all the way douwn i was hoping it would go a lil more but thats all i got out of them. as far as the ride i love it if i set the the damp all the to soft its just like stock i like it right in the middle lol

I just bought my springs yesterday, been beating around the bush for months about getting them. 1.4 front and 1.4 rear Dropzone springs. I put a set of those on my wife's Jetta at 2.0 drop front and rear well over a year ago and the car still rides great, no blown shocks. So if anyone thinks anything over 1.0 drop will blow out the shocks... I'd say it would take a long ass time to do so.

Would coilovers drop a car lower than springs?

AAMguy
10-21-2008, 01:21 PM
^^^yes. of course depending on the coilover u get. plus there are tricks with coilovers to dump u even lower.

and btw sportlines are not the lowest. stechs are by far the lowest springs u can get.

i beg to differ, the sportlines are insanely low on this car, but that doesn't mean you should get them, they're terrible. the s-techs give you a nice raked look, but they really are not as low as the sportlines. just get coilovers, $800 for BC's you wont regret it.

you can tuck 18's and lay out completely on an easy street system. that way no need to worry about speed bumps and steep drive ways. costs about the same as a coilover system, plus you get adjustable shocks with them. i love mine, especially in the winter (lake effect blizzards suck!).
