I have myself quite a problem. I have a 05 M3 5 door with the 2.3 liter engine. My problem is, when i turn on my headlights, my blue light in my gauges dont come on, the lights for the radio are to dim to see, the blinkers and emergency lights dont work, and the brake light stays on. Also when i then turn the headlights off they stay on until I turn the car off completely. does anybody know what the problem could be?

Have you installed or done anything to the car?

If not, take it in to the dealer, sounds like an electrical short of some sort.

How long between when the alarm was installed and the electrical gremlins started up? Was it professionally installed? Have you checked all the fuses/relays (I don't think this is the problem, but it never hurts to check them) Do you have a CEL?

CEL means "check engine light" the little light you get on your dash when something is wrong with anthing on your car besides the oil, tire pressure, air bags, or power steering. it's just a wide catagory for something is wrong with normal operating tolerancies associated with the engine.
