Anyone who has a 08.5+ Canadian MS3, please post up pictures of your OEM 18" polished wheels!

I'm also extremely interested in trading someone wheels over the winter. We both pay our own shipping for our own wheels, trade my satin silver US OEM MS3 18" wheels for your Canadian OEM MS3 18" wheels. Thanks in advance guys!!!!

I have a few pictures that I right-clicked/save-as'd but I can't remember the thread.

All I know is, they're beautiful, and I want them.

It should already be a fact in life that free doesn't always mean "best".

My grandma had to wait 8 months for a hearing aide. That's not what I call good health care. I'd rather pay and have access to better doctors and sooner care.

Most people have to sign waiting lists.

I do not want this thread going off-topic though.

I'm pretty positive you're talking about the same thing we are. In that case, they arn't gunmetal, they arn't polished, they're just a darker and shinier shade, which Mazda Canada is apparently calling "millenium".

There is a vendor on EBay that will send you chromed OEM wheels for which you send them your stockers, and pay shipping in both directions. Runs about a grand total. Too rich for my blood, 'specially since I don't like the stock wheels' pattern.

Yah, those wheels are on 2008.5 models. I didn't think they were exclusive to Canada. They look awesome on the Metropolitan Grey MS3s.

I had that feeling for a couple of days after too. I also liked the piano black interior, the white needles on the cluster of the 2008.5 models. In retrospect, I could have waited a few more months and gone with the 2008.5 Metro Grey as white is a bitch to keep clean!

a bit of a pity when I picked up my red speedo, 2 wks later 08.5 comes out with mp3 and gunmetal rims, I personally don't see the big deal over it anyway I prefer the lighter silver colour as is, any new acuras and many new cars are rocking gunmetal these days...if I were to change my wheels they would be completely black.

My target was to find something that wanted to powdercoat their rims. And why waste a perfectly good set of polished ones, where you can paint mine and make 100 bucks

These smoked, millenium or whatever you want to call them wheels are standard on all 08.5 & 09 MS3's here in Canada. It's the fast way to tell if it's a 07/08 or 08.5/09 model year.

since you asked I will give you a straight answer just add some cash and get some aftermarket wheels with much nicer rims than OEM, seriously what's a big fuss around this 08.5 canadian gun metal anyway, for me the metallic silver is what we've all got anyway is the original and best looking, so get aftermarket wheels, hyper black or of your choice or leave it as is, imo best orig look mate :)

One definately has to be repaired - 5 small rashes, the others aren't too bad (minor scratches). According to the first wheel guy I talked to, the coating is "Hyper Silver" and he wanted $185/wheel to fix them... (boom06)

They are in fact Hyper Silver, was able to find a place that is able to refinish them for less.
