My check engine light is one and Autozone told me it's code 1195. I have a 97 millenia 2.5L. Any thoughts? last time I checked it, I was told the EGR valve needed replacing, but I cleaned out the EGR ports and that turned the CEL off for about a month.
Thanks for any advise!

P1195 - Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) boost sensor circuit malfunction
Yes it was the EGR cleaning it usually does the trick. Very rarely does the entire EGR have to be replaced in these cars.

You may not even need to touch the valve. Trace the vacuum hose from the boost sensor back to the intake. See if its port is all carboned up. 90% of the time thats the problem I see with that generation in regards to egr dysfunction. Its an easy check and fix.

Not exactly, the only vac lines in the 2.5 that connect to the EGR come from the EGR solenoid vent I believe. I have the diagram somewhere.

As I mentioned, but I will clarify- check the vacuum supply to the boost sensor from the intake manifold. If I remember correctly- the boost sensor and egr solenoid share the same vacuum supply. The solenoid is turned on providing vacuum to the valve and opening it up. Pretty sure the valve has an electronic lift sensor on it as well. If the port at the intake is plugged- the all 3 components will not get the necessary vacuum supply and the system will not work as designed.

Here is the Vac diagram for the 2.5L KL-DE.
