How many CX7's has Mazda made or how many does Mazda intend to sell every year? We've had our '07 for almost a year and a half and we still don't hardly see any others on the road. We were the only one around for a looonnnggg time. I must say,as a Mustang owner(and i love my Mustang)but it's nice having a semi-rare vehicle. The CX7 is unique and i've never had so many people stop and ask about a car or had so many compliments as this Mazda has had. We've owned Miatas,Bimmers,Camaros,Mustangs.....this CX7 tops them all in terms of attention from other people.
I've been stopped 3 times in parking lots,and my wife had someone knock on her window(scary)to ask her about it,there's really nothing else like it on the road for the money,and it's FAST! I love it,i think it may be worth keeping,i could see this being an interesting collector car in a couple of decades(not in terms of value),but just being an interesting sexy car......made in apparently low numbers.

Can't answer anything about production numbers, but here in Connecticut, I see them frequently, usually a couple per day.

Now if you enjoy driving a rare vehicle, why didn't you opt for much more power and a superior suspension and get a GTO? If the Goat owners didn't get together so frequently, I'd almost never see another.(burnout)

That's weird,there's a ton of '04-06 GTO's around here,i see one almost every day(uhm)

Nearing the end of my 2 year lease on an 07 CX7 I see them all over the place. Maybe being Detroit it is a little bit different but they are every where. When I got my 04 mazda3 (nov. 03) I was the only one on the road for a LONG LONG time. I liked that. People were all over me asking about it. Now they are like the Mustangs you mention, everyone has one.

not as often as other cars i have owned, but i do so them regularly.. atleast the same 5 on my work commute and then probably a couple more while driving around the city..
funny though very true, i have had people stop me and ask about the cx-7 whne traveling to the smaller towns with only big3 dealeships

Here in orlando the CX7 is relatively popular. As for the speed 6's though i was up in north florida for two years and I NEVER saw another speed 6 except for a white one which i saw in the mazda dealer with a blown rod. Hope that wasn't one of you guys /: I see speed 6's more often here in orlando but definately a rare car. Way more evo's and STI's out there.
