So I originally took my Protege into a mechanics garage for a simple pad replacement and rotor turning. (Front disk only)
After I paid entirely too much for the services rendered (200$ for the above mentioned) I noticed an entirely new noise coming from my brakes. At about 50% brake pressure they make a pulsing, creaking noise (send me an email and i'll send you a video). I've had 2 mechanics work on it sense then but the problem hasn't been fixed. The pads and rotors are in great shape. Many sources i've read suggest lubrication of certain parts. I'm not a mechanic so I cannot do these repairs myself. But it sounds fairly simple and not extremely expensive.
I've heard caliper slide pins, i've heard caliper pistons, among other things. I'm not a mechanical idiot so I understand the parts and how they function. I just don't have the know how to do it myself. So any ammunition to take into the mechanic is greatly appreciated.
