I was reading a honda magazine, and it was comparing cars between speed3, s2k, and civic SI. It says our cars has 202 WHP. Is that tru?

That really doesn't sound like they gave the MS3 much credit.... if your MS3 is making that much power to the wheels, there's something definitely wrong.... Stock; my MS3 was putting down 249.9hp and 276.08 ftlbs torque... You tell me if that looks anywhere near 202hp....lol

Question answered.
The Civic si puts down 180whp
The S2000 puts down about 190-200whp
The Mazdaspeed3 puts down 230-245whp plus about twice the fucking torque as those hondas

its going to come down to what kind of dyno they used.

a general guidline is around 20-30% crank hp that is actually going to the wheels after all the loss in whatever components you're going through to get to the rubber. so if you do 30% take 263 x .7 and get 184hp. if you want 20% 263 x .8 is 210. either way im sure it's not 230-245 like zoomin3 said.
besides, a dyno room never changes, where you're actually driving does, so exact numbers don't really count for anything.

20-30% is more like for a AWD application. 10-15% is more accurated for FWD. SO yeah that's about 225-240whp give or take for a Mazdaspeed3

Even though I don't own an MS3 I have personally seen one put down 250 whp and 270 wtq - on two different occasions. Two different cars, two different dynos. I'd say that's pretty much the standard. But again, why do we care what other car owners think?

Well the 10-15% theory is just that. I wouldn't doubt that a Speed3 can actually put down 250whp.

well im sure everyone can go all day and all night about how they have "proof " and whatnot, and it's still just gonna be another post in a FORUM. but to the OP, it's probably better if you do research outside a forum to get your numbers, or just get them yourself at a dyno.
i'll be doing mine on thursday stock for 3 runs then with a k&n replacement filter for 3 more runs and see what happens. maybe i can get my money back from them if i provide them with enough proof that their product doesn't work (which i don't really know if it will or wont for this car at this point)

I dynoed 237 to the wheels on my car. Seems to be consistent with most stock MS3s. Don't take any information from a Honda magazine. Christ, if everyone starts reading Honda magazines, then soon we'll all be rolling around on red Rotas with custom valve covers and shocker stickers everywhere.
