Im wanting to purchase a slightly larger turbo for my speed3 but im not sure what people are using these days. I dont want nothing too crazy because i plan on keeping the stock fuel system for now and just getting a custom tune with my cobb AP, hoping to be around 350whp. Any ideas??? thanks

I know someone on these forums is running a GT2871R. That would be a nice little turbo upgrade.

I say GT3071R + Cp-e Fuel Pump + Tune and call it a day.

we buy the 2871R, 3071R, 3076R and 35R with the mazda specific manifold and downpipe flanges. and of course the reworked k04 works like stock. we've been toying with the idea of making a T3 flanged manifold, but people would need to have a custom downpipe made for this to work for them.

The reworked turbo fits the same as the stock turbo..

none of the turbo's listed have an external wastegate. All are internal.

all direct bolt up turbos are internally gated for these cars

Thanks numb . It kinda sucks I am going to have to lose my CS downpipe eventually but I guess some lucky dog will appreciate it

but not the turbo i am considering sir. Thank you. I just realized it is not good etiquette to talk about what I have not yet done and should only report about what I have. I do not even have my engine management wired in!! sorry folks.

whats the biggest turbo that can be used with the stock MS3 fuel system? Or whats the current HP limit on the MS3 fuel system with tuning? Thanks.

It seems the stock fuel system has trouble keeping up with the stock car. The injectors are ok for the k04. mrlilguy has a reworked pump and Mazda will replace under warranty the stock pump if the build date is before march 07 i believe. Mine was Feb.07. I have all the boltons xcept exhaust manifold. And I am ok I have seen no other pump options. But i also am not controlling my fuel yet. Some of the big dogs should be able to help you
