So I'm trying to install a Progress 22mm Rear Sway Bar using stock struts on my P5. I just noticed the left Endlink Bolt is Bent. And the bushing seems cracked. Can anyone tell me what this means? Too much load?

1) Should I consider buying AWR Endlinks? Are they stronger? Will they be less troublesome than OEMs.

2) or Should I just buy a new OEM bolt and hardware? Is that cheaper?

Thanks,

I've been running stock endlinks with illuminas & the progress sway for years without issue. OK, had one issue, had a klunk & had to tighten one of the endlink bolts. That's it. Had the same setup with my stock struts/lowering springs before getting the illuminas. No issues then either. These are still the original endlinks too.

I would stick with the stock hardware. The AWRs were nice because you could adjust them and have the bar as straight as possible but then again I could never keep them quiet. As for strength, even my AWR endlinks had bent a little when I took them off and I made sure there was no binding when I installed them. Only time will tell with the stock endlinks.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I want to stay with the stock endlinks.

Another thing I'm just considering is, my right rear 16x7 (oposite end of the bent endlink bolt) has been bottoming out. Meaning It's been touching the right rear fender. I wonder if this is causing some kind of additional load on that side??

Thanks again,
