So I purchased a 2007 CX-7 last year..... love it. My friend noticed the other day that the sticker on the inside of my door has a manufacture date of 06'.... did I get scammed or is this common.

Your vehicle was manufactured mid-06, probably arrived at the dealership September 06, to be sold as an '07. 95% of the time, this is the way it works. You're fine.

Wow, I guess being in the auto industry I have always known that. Hard to beleive you would think that 09 production year built in 08 would have 09 numbers? That would be Illegal. As the next production year starts the manufacturing date has to be true. So 09's out now still have 08 production runs on them. Once they are built into January they will have 09 production dates.

I wonder if this was his first brand new car.

Last year would have been an 08 model year unless he bought an over stock at the end of the year. Hate to think they had an over stock late summer early fall with the prior years production run though, wow!

You got scammed dude. (lol2) Along with a million other people. If it's an 07, they gotta build it before then to be able to offer it as an 07, otherwise it'd be an 08 (shady)
