Hi all!
My car is a 2001 Protegé ES-GT. I bought the 2 rear top plates and before I dissassemble everything, is there something I need to know before I change the 2 rear top plates? Or best, has anyone done a step-by-step procedure? Upon buying the plates, I assumed it was a DIY job...

Oh, I forgot. Everything is original mazda stuff.

Thanks!

As in struts? You need to remove the panels from the trunk to get to the bolts to remove the struts.

"...strut mount... or ...upper mount..."

You'll have to remove the entire strut assembly from the car, compress the springs, disassemble the strut assembly, swap out out the strut mounts and put everything back together.
