Ok, so I've decided to go with another mod. I'm getting my cobb intake in hopefuly a month or so. I ordered mine from protegegarage.com and they were backorder. I placed my order last month and they said it would take 6-8 weeks. This sucks because I was very happpy to finaly do stuff to my car. Anywho I was wondering if some of you guys out there could recommend a good aftermarket bov that is not greddy, I don't like how loud they are. I live in fairfax, va and my good friends in blue are very bitter about loud cars. I need some people who have them to tell me their experience so far. I'm also looking to put another 800 in mods any suggestions on what to get for better power gains.

SSQV is the best sounding and design for our MS3, hook it up in recirc, not VTA.
Cobb SRI or CP-E CAI
Catted or Catless Downpipe + Midpipe. I choose TurboXS because I have it and have not had a single problem with it.
Before these mods, I suggest the CP-E Motor Mount. This setup will definitely get your power up around 275hp / 290tq to the wheels. Afterwards, get the Cobb AP.

When you got your downpipe and midpipe did you get cel? Also keep in mind cops around here pull cars over that are loud. So is it loud or does it have a nice tone rumble. Also what would be a good site for me to buy these parts. Thanks for the info.

I run the TurboSMart dual port. I love it. Bolts right in. Takes no tools to adjust vta?recic on the fly to get wehre you want it. Just pop hood and turn the top. I have it set to normal driving puttign around town it can be quiet. once i get on it, i can hear it between shifts. Mine is polished and blue, but they come in stealth black, so it will look somewhat stock. No popping, no backfiring, not CEL here either, been runngi it for 5 months now.

If you drive like an idiot, then you will more than likely get pulled over when noticed. If you drive properly and in a safe manner, you have nothing to worry about. I've driven around many cities, especially monrovia, where the LEO's are PIA's, but no ticket (rockon)

With regards to sound, I wouldn't do anything above an intake if I lived in Fairfax county. I have a history of run-ins with the cops there regarding mods and it's not pretty. Forget exhaust or being lowered too much.

$800 = cp-e motor mount, testpipe, new bpv, window tint, and shifter bushings. I know tint and bov/bpv only look and sound good, but I think they were worthy investments

There is a dyno on m3f that matt did, showing a perfectly working stock bpv dyno and a dyno with an rkm/hks ssqv bov and showed a 23HP increase across the rpm range.

Only change was a BPV and the car gained 23hp?

I know dude, it sucks so much. I see other speeds on the site with 5% tint and what not or 15%, which look so sick in the black. I'm 35% all over, but I'm always scared when I'm close to a cop. I was just gonna change my intake to the cobb, which will hopefuly be here soon, the wait is killing me slowly. After I install my intake I'm going with a ce-p engine mount and a dual turbosmart bov. And the twm bushings to replace the plastic ones. I'm soooooo excited to build my mazdtaa. I'm so sad right now though cuz I got a nail on the back tire and I'm riding on a doughnut sence saturday which is realy bad cuz i've put like 300 miles on that poor doughnut. I'm hopefuly getting my tire tomorrow or by friday they ordered it but it's still not fucking here (dunno)

It was a couple hp throughout the rpm range, when added up, it was around 20hp or so.
