Ok, I can't make my choice on which clear tail light I want to buy. So is there anyone here that have some pictures of black and chrome clear lights on a dark blue 2000 mazda protege?

stock light look good IMO. if you wanted to mod the light, just smoke it with either nightshade of get vinyl over lays. the vinyl i herd is better b/c it is not perminent. but what ever floats your boat

Where can I get that vinyl your talking about? and there must be a maximum tint to be legal I guess?

you just need to make sure the reflectors can be seen within the light.

so go for a smoked look then a blacked out look.

bluebatbmobile.net should have what your looking for. Send him an email if you have any questions

i'd buy the chrome ones. Was actually thinking of buying a set of them for the wife's car as hers is red so the stock red tailights blend in too much and looks too plain.

Yes they are a little 'rice', but tinting looks dodgy

I photochopped them onto the car and looks 100% better than the stock lights.... i think....

thanks for that, looks ok actually.

very subtle though, the 3/4 shot you cant see that its got sports lights. Do the inside lights stand out more than the pics show?

They don't really stand out (which I like) unless you are directly behind the car.

I can take a couple of close up shots when it's sunny so you can maybe get a better idea.

have fun with those corner lights, you will have every cop u go by after you, for one they wont be bright, and they do not have a reflector in them. The whole "Sport tailight" is a joke, stock looks and works just perfectly, the whole "altezza" light idea should and has for the most part died out like it should have.

thats your opinion & fair enough. I kind of agree with you as this is for the wife's car, and women like pretty things on their car.

With regards to the whole "i dont like this stuff & should die out blah"..... some might say doing a car up with 50 mods to make it look like a machine when it only manages 18 sec 1/4 miles, is a bit tacky as well ;)

IukekiniProtege

thats 17.95 1/4 miles to you :-P, I know it is all my opinion, but thats what you asked for in this thread, is what people thought about those lights on the protege.
