I rotated the recirc hose completely probably 35 degrees couner clockwise. No kinking here

Just installed mine right now, this is what I did. No kinks, but it does have a little bit of a ovalish squeeze in the hose right after the fitting. It's not obstructed in anyway though.
sidenote: I noticed it flutters a little when it recirculates, is that normal or is there a fix for it?

thats normal it's not flutter, it's the sequential valves closing that makes that sound.

Ah ok, gotcha. It sounds good to me the way it is anyways.
I noticed now though that I get random backfires/gurgles from the exhaust more, when shifting after being in boost, that I didnt get before. That normal? It's recirced too, and stock DP just TurboXS CB.

done some research and talked to the master tech at subaru which i work with and he said the backfiring *i had it too* is due to poor recirculation, as i wrote before mine didnt kink but made a oval passage like you stated, though it doesnt seem to affect it at first these back fires are do to not enough air recirculating back into the intake manifold.
thus i was told to wait to get an intake before even bothering to reinstall, i would suggest you do the same.

some ppl on here actually cut the recirc tube in half and stick in a copper tube by where its kinking so that it stays straight. im thinking of doing this. i have a hks ssqv kit from cp-e in recirc with a fujita CAI. no problems

I took a closer look at the kinks in the recirc tube earlier today, there are 2 that squeeze down pretty slim. I was able to rotate the tube enough to get the kink right after the HKS to go away... but right before the inlet I have a kink there still. I think with a hose clamp, like the one used to hold the recirc tube to the HKS, around the kink it will pull the kink back into it's round shape and allow for better flow/recirculation.
I'll post pics soon, if I have the time, of what I'm talking about.

I have the exhaust depot fmic and it throws the alignment even more off.. huge kink :(. I cut the stock hose and tried to mod it but so far nothing is working out, just running VTA. On a side note...its running pretty well on VTA surprisingly.

I ended up having to "trim" mine down a little. Cut about a half inch off it and rotated it until it fit right but the hose now has a cut in it from where the clamp was on it before so I'm hunting down a new one.

Ya just trim off like a 1/4 inch of the hose and rotate the whole hose 180 deg. the bends seem to fit better that way.
