well i got an idea wile sitting threw Auto shop today, while using the alignment rack, i had the thought why not just go to u pull it (junk yard type place?)
well i had an idea.. i run down there this weekend when not at work and go snag a tranny, and maybe another engine? anyone think thats a good idea??
save me like... $4000 to fix my tranny or some shit.. i think its just electrical issue... anyways... any thoughts on type of trannys that will fit the '03 Lx pretty damn close?

so does it matter on the year/ modle? sides being a manual or auto.

I'm not sure bout the miata tranny but I wanna say no. As far as year goes, I would stay stick with 02-03 but there may be others that fit. Not a big transmission expert or anything but I'm sure someone will have a better answer tomorrow since it's so late now.

well, probe's trany will bolt up w/o problem as well as any other 3rd gen protege including MSP's these cars share same trany
even probes which vary from 93-96 either v6 2.5L or I-4 2.0L will fit as well, as a fact some already do use the probe trany since they are wide spread in jank yards.
we talking MT no AT , ok !
good luck
