Can you remove Middle Row, Centre seat entirely?

We have the middle row, centre seat currently tucked away, but the seat back is being used as an armrest, but people have been struggling to get past it, as it is quite chunky and limits the space available to access 3rd row seats. Is there a way to completely remove the centre seat backrest? If so, how easy or hard is it to do?
