I just bought a mazda3 hatch

I was going to the dealer to buy a mustang 06 v6 for 13k but i came out with a mazda3 hatch (not a ms3) but im still happy. first car and im gonna keep it for 2 years and then upg to somethin faster. I really like it alot. Anyone know if there are any performance chips that tune up the car like the 1.8T gti? or what i should do first with my car other than a intake :P

If anything im probably gonna keep this car till im 21 (insurance)
its a silver mazda3. im painting the alloy rims black and keepin them as winter tires then after winter im gonna get some black rims and smoke tail lights (exterior wise)
but i wanna add some performance to this car whether its a little gain or a big gain. im not gonna WASTE money on a turbocharger (notice i said waste not invest)

what mods did your GTI have...you wont find onboard chips like GIAC or APR or REVO because most vendors sell AFC piggy back systems ... check out split second, they have a good AFC for mazda3 but you wont see much gain in HP, its pretty much useless...its like chipping a 2.slow...

oh i didnt have a gti but a friend of mine had a chip in his GTI which boosted it to 225 lbs of torque i believe. you can check on the gti 1.8t forums. but im not worried about a chip. im just trying to get the best out of my car for a low price

its a little easier to "chip" a car that 1) has a turbo, stock 2) is popular, such as the new GTI. The mazdaspeed protege lacked the second, thus no magical chip was made

Welcome fellow 3 member. :) To answer your question you can get an intake, header and exhaust. With all 3 you will recieved a noticeable amount of gains.
