Yeah, I figured out if I crack my air box, and run my car it makes the turkey mad. So I was thinking it would be worse with a CAI

All the CAI changes is whether you hear the turkey or not... the underlying cause (BPV/tubing too small to efficiently recirculate air) is still there.

funny, i was just thinking about this today, there has to be turkey with the stock piping. there's no reason for it to magically appear when you add an intake, the piping for the BPV stays the same. the plastic piping must just muffle the stock bird.

The noise coming from the compressor surge.

the bpv nipple is too small to recirc all of the air so the surge goes back to the turbo.

Okay, I'm so sick of people spreading false info.
Go look into the definition of "compressor surge" then come back here, because some of you have no effen clue wtf you're talking about.
The slight gobble we get in our cars is not compressor surge. And I'm getting sick of correcting people who say it is.
Many turbo cars that recirculate get a little bit of a flutter, gobble, or turkey, but it is not compressor surge. True compressor surge sounds completely different.
Go look up compressor surge, listen to sound clips, or something before you come here talking about something you know nothing about. I have experienced true compressor surge on a few cars of mine, so I know precisely what it sounds like, and why it is caused.
Then you guys come on here telling new people it's compressor surge, even though you have never even heard compressor surge firsthand.
The turkey is not bad. Get over it. Do some real research.

If you guys don't stop I'm going to find out who you work for, or who you are dating, or where you're going to school at, and I'm gonna tell them what idiots you are.

You'll not find one thread on this entire site in which a GT2554R has failed because of repeated flutter sounds. Not one! There is no gooble-gooble choke thread.

whether or not it kills the engine ,it is still annoying as hell especially when you hear it every time you let off the throttle. thats why im buying a larger diverter valce to replace the stock bpv, and putting a larger nipple on the hotpipe and intake tube.
