ok so i called cobb and i asked them if they would make a fog light replacement for there cold air box and the told me "that they like to make there paddocks i a way that u don't need to remove stock part" so i went on by asking cris what can i do to show that some of us want something like this done. he told me to start a thread and if u get enough signature they will take it under consideration.
this is more or less what it showed look like

Hmmm, I think I'd prefer if the fog light stayed, but the area right around the fog light was opened up.

Thanks for the info
They could also open up part of the grill that diverts are into the intercooler and batter box and have that open up and blow right at the intake but that kind of defeats the purpose of their cold air box now that I think about it.

Thanks to the OP for approaching Cobb about this option! I actually am all for a direct ram air option. I would prefer to keep my fog lights in but I tend to think there is certainly ram air options in the center of the grill, either way I am all for this option! Count me in Cobb!

Hey Hans, maybe someone on these threads could specify a proper design To give a better idea of what this device will appear like? Can anyone sketch something out?

I don't see how they would go about doing this?
Right on through the head lights?
Maybe a vented hood would do the trick :o *Buys CF vented hood*

not a head light but get the air from the front grill
Prolly feed from the same duct that redirects to the TMIC and battery.

I think that would be the best idea, like a cheaper version of the autoexe ram air intake system thats ridiculously priced.

i think a ram duct where the fog light opening is would be cool for people with a CAI.

why
SPEEDYHANS
08-29-2008, 08:46 AM
why
because u get the ram air effect and its cold air
dkswim
08-29-2008, 09:04 AM
well you can have the ram air without removing the fog light. for cai the air is not comeing in from the fender its comeing from the front of the car main grill on the right side of the grill thats where they should get the air from functional and no need to remove your fog light unless you realy want to. dont belive me look at your car
