Almost 31k. So far the engine fell once, had the turbo replaced because I was losing oil somewhere and it will be going back to the dealer this week cause I'm still losing oil somewhere, about a qt every 800 miles. I got it on January 18, 2007.

My car is holding up great, it was acting a little funny around 20k miles, but it was only for one night, I had a cylander missfire around 38k miles, but put some octane booster in the tank and it never came on again. If it wasn't for the cheapest paint in the world, my car would run and look like brand new.

No major issues at all. I've also been a safe modder, but my next mod might be the CP-E DP. Turbo seems to be holding up great, I am getting Zero smoke out of the exhaust, the only thing I have noticed is that the car is running rich like all mazdaspeed3's so my tailpipe gets the worst of that.

I'm actually still on my stock tires and they are not even close to bald yet!! strang for a tire with such a low tread rating.

Do all colors have just as poor paint jobs?
Can't do clear bra on the whole car!
Shopping and leaning towards Met Gray.
I think the lack of color choice is the weakest point when looking to buy a new MS3...Another blue is needed!

Yeah, I'm not sure about the year, but I think it was 2006 when congress passed the law that automakes can not use any lead in there car paints, so its a water based paint. It's not just mazda, its all the car companies, most likely your 2005 any model car will have better looking paint than any car after that year.

Bought mine in oct 06, have 15k on it now. Had to buy a new battery yesterday, we only have 1 yr warranty on these then it is pro rated, dealer wanted to tow car in to check it out, i just got a new red top instead. That and a busted coolant hose are the only real issues i've had (touches his head).

I just hit 40K on 8/30/08 and bought it Oct 06. How do you still have your stock tires on the car Alex? My first set went in 24K which my dealer told me was high as they normally got 17-18K out of them.

I seriously have no idea now my stock tires are still good. I had my tires checked and they would still pass inspection at this point. I drive my car hard but I don't have alot of wheel spin. And in heavy rain, I still have great traction. I will be replacing them soon though. I want to try those Sumitomo HTR III's, been hearing some good stuff about those.

Bought in Nov 08, and have 7500 0n the odom...and my front struts seems shot already..I see some smoke at time when first start up and seem like am losing oil faster than norm..i would say atleast 1qt @ every 1000 miles..that shouldnt be..

wow, 1 quart every 1000 miles, that nuts man. Out of curiousity, how did you break in your car? Did you wait to use synthetic or did you jump right into it?

I used regular oil until I went past 10,000 miles and did an oil change every 3k miles after my first oil change at 1,000. Now I use synthetic and change my oil every 5k miles. Me and some friends have done the same process of oil changes and waiting to use synthetic and it seems like we don't have issues. The couple people I have talked to with bad smoking and oil burning problems seem to have went straight to synthetic on their first oil change.
