I am looking to get a new car and saw that the msp in my price range and was wondering if the car is generay expensive to insure.. Thanks for any hep and I realize that the only way to know for sure is call the insurance company but I just wanted an oppinion before i get excited... Thanks again

nah, its pretty cheap.
its not too shabby, but depends on your record, age, and area you live in
fwiw, i insure my msp and trans am for about 200 a month(liability only on the trans am)

The rates are about the same as for a standard Protege or P5, at least for me (37 & married, perfect record). Whoo hoo!

I pay 220 a month and im 21 years old/ and i have 2 totaled cars and 3 speeding tickets on my reccord.

Due to insurance/motorvehicle classification laws, the MSP is an options package of the regular protege. If it had been a model for more than 3 years, it'd be its own model and a bitch to insure due to the turbo. However, because it's an "option package" it's got the same insurance classification as a protege(aka cheap as shit).
Honestly, you probably won't find too many cars that are cheaper to insure.
You sure as shit won't find a tubo car that's cheaper to insure.
This is also why some folks think the MS3 won't persist beyond a third model year.

253 a month for full coverage, after 6 speeding tickets and exabition of speed ticket,oh and im only 20 haha
