Seems there is little action as of late. What's going on?

There is another Mazda CX-7 forum on the net that is quite a bit more popular than this one... albeit still not very busy as this car doesn't have a ton of enthusiasts.

yeah, it seems that the enthusiasts have calmed down lately, my guess is that gas prices slowed people down a bit

There's nothing left to argue about! Our rides are getting "old" - mine has 53K miles on it. Issues have been debated ad nauseam on these pages and are yesterday's news...People move on. Life changes. Remember cruzdreamer, CXRabbit, mikey1981, Infymus and others? We all started here in late 2006 early 2007. Now circustances have changed for them and they're no longer active on these boards.

Hi Vince! :)

Funny timing... I just decided to stop in after a bit of an absense.

Gotta say, I still tell family and friends how much I LOVE the CX-7 in every way EXCEPT for the gas guzzler it is. Luckily, I don't commute huge distances every day. I've crossed 30K miles on mine now and just had to buy tires this past weekend... also spent saturday morning cleaning her up a bit. I detailed her myself the beginning of the summer :)

Since I own mine I'll probably have her a lot longer than most of you who leased, so I may be the last one left here checking in from time to time!

I never get to drive mine so I don't visit here much.

Thought I'd drop by though since the '09s are here, and share some thoughts on the changes.

I'm definately not here to complain about my transfer case finally starting to leak. It's fixed though.

Now about that corrosion on the wheels.......

I still stop in once in a while. I was able to get out of my CX7 lease in July for $1800. I sold my 2008 Miata PRHT, bought a Mazda 3 GTS and I'm getting happily 31 mpg in it.

Yeah, we keep ours parked a bit more these days. We take the Impala pretty everywhere since its a company car and we don't pay for gas.

On a side note though...we left the CX-7 sit for a month and it was dead when I went to start it up. I charged it and my wife is driving it to work again but 1 month seems a little crappy to die in my opinion. I can keep my Z in the garage for 2-3 months and she'll still fire up...beyond that though, its expected that it won't.

Can you believe it though...we're working on 2 years and only 19k miles!! :)

We own ours too and in my wife's mind, its her car until it doesn't run anymore. Her family comes from the idea that if it still runs, it's not worth buying another. She'll have hers for years and years I'm sure. She had her Passat for 10 years and then gave it to her sister when she moved here...her sister still has it; shitty compression and all!

I am mostly reading through the MS3 forums. Need to start modding the wife's CX7 again!(drive2)
