Rear Emblem

Anyone have a picture of the holes underneath the mazda symbol. I wana see how far apart they are.

measure your rear emblem horizontally across from where the tops of the "M" shape meets the outer circle shape around it.

As far as I have read, there are holes as well. I wanna take mine off and paint it. Is it difficult to put it back on?

no, it is really simple to put back on. you can reuse the adhesive that will still be left on the emblem, or you can get emblem adhesive from autozone to put the emblem back on

Just for fun though, I'll take pics during the process. :-) What color should I make the emblems? Front and back if I can get the front one off...

front is just clips you can push from the back. you might have to remove the air ducting from the bumper in order to get access...
most people are painting their emblems black. some people have done color matching...i think the most common thing to do is black

Oh that's easy then. Great! Yea black seems to be the running theme. I suppose I can always change it too. Maybe I'll do blue, to go with the blue calipers I plan on doing eventually. Might look nice.

Audi has a TT emblem but it's probably too small to go over the holes and would look weird if you separated them.

I'd say the holes are probably about 1/8-1/4" in diameter and about 1.5"-2" apart. The emblem comes off really easily. saw at the adhesive w/ fishing line really gently until you break the bond between the emblem and car, and the emblem pops right out.

I took of all my emblems and they are now blue! They look great. I'll post some pics for those that are interested.
