i just installed my new forge bpv last night and i saw on the stock bpv there was like a rubber ring on it that went between the valve and where it connected to...i was just wondering if the forge bpv was supposed to have that too?

You should have a rubber Oring in the groove where the bpv connects to the intercooler pipe.If its not there you will have a leak and I would not use it untill you get it.

Mine had a gasket. Look carefully in the box. Mine was about to come out when I opened the container.

my valve came with no gasket or any rubber sealant on the bottom of the valve. :( . but im running it anyway and its not leaking from what i can hear and my gauges. if its not too much trouble could some post a picture of their gasket or the bottom of their valve just so i can see what it looks like?

Is the stock BOV no good? Does it leak at a certain pressure? Or are you guys upgrading just for looks and sound?

Mine was leaking. I gained psi by upgrading to the forge valve...

a lot of people are under the concensus that the stock bpv did leak. i never monitored it, so idk. i upgraded for the sound

hey phil, for shits and giggles we should put the stock one on since you have a boost gauge and dashhawk and see what it monitors compared to the greddy type-s you have. I was wondering that myself since the day I installed by greddy was the same day that I got my boost gauge pillar and instaleld them at teh same time, so I never tested mine. But upgrade for the sound FTW! :)

yeah...that's a good idea. i really don't think the stock valve was leaking for me. but it would be nice to know. the new valve felt like it made it a difference, but maybe that was purely placebo
