Alright so here it goes.
I started to install the electronic oil pressure gauge yesterday! got it all wired up and T'd up so the stock sensor was still there. Like a dumbass I hit that anti-freeze line that goes to the oil filter with a wrench or something and i cut it and had to replace it. Well i didnt quite replace it i went and bought some extra line and sized it up and put a copper fitting in there to join the 2 lines together. After countless tries i finally got the other end of the line over the oil filter nipple(its a tight sqeeze in there with that copper fitting) i turned it on checked for leaks and didnt see ne. Shortly after i went out and noticed 3 or so miles down the road my temp gauge in the dash was a notch from High!!!! i stopped turned it off for about 10 min checked antifreeze and none leakd out and none was dripping. turned it back on and it was in the middle again. i went straight home and the whole ride home I stayed out off boost and the temp stayed in the middle. maybe very lil above middle.
this morning i jack it up and check sender no oil newhere and everything is fine, but iam out of antifreeze in the reservoir? funny thing is there wasnt ne in my driveway.. i refill it and take it for a drive and see if temp goes up again and it doesnt( thank goodness) but oil press gauge doesnt even work!!! right below zero never moved!! it workd last ngiht tho! iam stumped! some1 with more exp. please inform me!!!!
only thing i can think of is maybe there is a pinch in the line with the fitting in it cutting off some of the antifreeze cooling the oil and that caused the temp to go up? but why would my gauge not work at all today? i checked all connections to back of gauge and to sender! bad sender?
