Shifting difficulty in between 1st and 2nd

Hi guys,
here is the deal from time to time when i shift from 1st to 2nd it kinda grinds. Now the shifter knob feels like it vibrates and also feels like it doesnt wanna go in 2nd it kinda feels like i have to force it. Now when i say time to time its more like 1 out of maybe 100 shifts. But the difficulty putting into gear is more of a usual thing. I jsut changed my tranny fluid with royal purple 3 qts worth. Any ideas???? Why this is doing this

Try GM's Synchromesh. It's far better (and cheaper) than Royal Purple. I had Royal Purple in my car for about a week and then replaced it with the Synchromesh. 1st to 2nd is much, much smoother and easier.

im at 50k miles....should i change it?

I'm at 83K and sometimes it sounds a little dry/rough in there. Just wondering is that would help

i just did the same exact thing... 3 qts of royal purple and now from 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 2nd it grinds.... about the same frequency you stated.... Anyone have an answer??? I thought Royal Purple was at least decent...

you mean transmission fluid , and it depends some fluid is thicker then others which will prevent grinding (gossip)
