I can't seem to figure out the problem. Thought it was the fuel pump since I broke 100k miles a few weeks ago but I just replaced it and the car still won't stay on. It will turn over when I turn her on, but I have to constantly stay on the gas to keep her running. The moment I let off she dies. I don't have a CEL so I'm puzzled. Anyone have a problem like this lately and can lend a helping hand? I was told to check the idle control valve...but I don't even know where that would be. Any help would be great guys!

I had a similar problem. Turns out i left the TPS unplugged. Glad it was something simple though.

yeah me too. I did buy a new fuel pump when that's what I thought the problem was so I did spend money on that. And it was due to be changed(I'm at 107K miles). But yeah...the simple things always get us!

Hate to say it but your fuel pump was probably fine then. Sucks that you had to spend the extra money when it was something so simple.

very true...but I did read that our pumps have a life of about 100k miles. And I am around 108K now so I'm sure it's life was soon coming to an end. Plus...I found it for a GREAT price! And it only took 3 days to receive in the mail! So I have my original stock pump which is in working condition now as a spare.

You won't see much boost if you revved from a stand still (if that is in fact what you did).

well usually from a standstill under no load I'll still get a couple pounds of boost...nothing big...but enough to know the turbo is boosting and I can definately hear my BOV

always check the simple and least costly things first! ( i need to heed my own advice!) i had a boost leak and thought it was a bad maf and egr...after messing with it for several hours i said i better check all my couplers...sure enough, one blew off, clamp broke!
