OK, so here's the deal. I just got my blue 3.5 msp last friday (August 8th), and found out a few days ago that the idiot that had it before me blew out the turbo. There's a performance cat on it so he obviously fooled around with the car, though i can't blame him being as it's such a sexy car. :D
So anyway, i'm looking for a new stock turbo that i can have installed without any additional modifications. I just want to be able to swap out the turbo and be done with it. I found out the part number is : GT2554R - 471171-3.
I live in central PA so hopefully you guys and gals can refer me to a local performance shop that can either rebuild my turbo or replace it for a good price. Thanks in advance.

i already checked out that website and found the gt28 but not the gt25 :\
i also checked on amazon.comand found the gt2554r for $899 which is the
stock turbo for the msp if i remember correctly. any other sites you can think of? i've checked out pretty much all the sites listed on the forum homepage.

If you can wait, have the turbo re-built. Limitenginering can do it for about $400. Takes about 2 weeks, so long the internals are in good same.

so i think i found the reason as to why my turbo is acting up. i think the leak is coming from the oem bpv since the turbo is making a whining noise when the turbo kicks in. it's also bucking at higher rpm's.
where's the best place to find an aftermarket bov?

if i find out that it really is the bpv, then i'll probly just want to get a bov, which i assume is a direct replacement for teh bpv right?

a bov is not a direct replacement to a bpv. to run a bov u will need a cold pipe with a flange welded on for a bov. and you can then run a bov. most msp owners run a dual setup with both bpv and bov. which is the setup im running. or u could just replace the bpv with an aftermarket one which will be a lot cheaper for ya!!

to answer your question msplife, i'll have to say no to the bov for now, since it seems like a bit too much work considering i gotta figure out how to get my car running right first.
