I heard that you can make the TWM SS smoother and easier to shift if you take off the counter weight, but i dont know how to or where the counter weight is?
Can you guys help plz?

taking the counter weight off makes it feel terrible. People spend money to buy counterweighted shifters to smooth out gear actuation and people are removing them on the MS3. I think it's having something that feels different for the sake of different.

I took mine off for 2 minutes. F that noise.

The counter weight is the big thing at the left of the picture held on with two bolts. It is under the air-box. I took mine off, but put it back 'cause I like it better with it on. You could experiment with stacks of washers to make a lighter version. Play with it and see what works for you.

Alright thanks.

ANother question. I installed the TWM SS and it feels like i have to apply much more force to the shifter to get it into gear as opposed to the stock shifter.

Is this because its lower and thats just the physics of it or could it be that i used the wrong lube.

Yes, it's shorter so you now have less leverage. A heavier knob helps this situation also.

using quality grease and changing the transmission fluid to redline, helps alot

I can't stress how much better the trans works with a quality synth.
