Hey all,
I baught front and rear engine mounts at 70 Duro. Iv been reading a bit, and im getting the impression that adding the rear mount is going to cause the "Cock Pit" to vibrate.

Once and for all, how bad is this vidration? Do you suggest Front and rear? or should i just stick to front?

thanks

I'll just say this if you are concerned at all about a noticeable increase in vibration, stick with stock mounts. All aftermarket mounts will increase the vibration at idle and with the a/c on. Some just do more so than others. Its a small tradeoff for better traction in my book.

Well fronts tend to tear first and then the rears will follow. There are a few companies that make Motor mounts. I was recommend going with Medieval's Front and Rear MMs. I just installed the Front MM from Medieval about a week ago or so.

Previously I had been running the AWR MM in the front & rear as well as side inserts. The entire cabin would vibrate to a point where the people in the car would basically get a back massage, but the dash board and steering column would shake like a mofo as well.

I switch to the Medieval front MM and there was a huge difference. Much less vibrations from only changing the front. I barely get as much cabin vibration. Even people that have sat in my car since swapping out the front MM notice the car is more tolerable and more of a daily driver feel as opposed to a "race car" feel driving around on city streets.

Its a direct swap no real extra effort needed to swap it out, and it only take s about 10 mins and thats having time to stop and have a drink.

Here is a link comparing the AWR to Medievals front MM....I can't wait to install the Rear and order the Side MM

I have the AWR 70 Durometer front and side inserts. I get a little more vibes but nothing I can't tolerate. since the Sub is vibrating things any way. But the wheel hop is gone and that is what's most important.

the vibrations are terrible. people were scared to ride in my car because they thought it was going to fall apart. no wheel hop though.

i recently swapped my front and rear awr mounts to stockers with the cs inserts. the vibration difference is night and day

the rear gives the most vibrations

I wonder what would give "less" vibration CS inserts or Medevils full mount.

I have Front, Rear and Transmission AWR 70 duro Motor Mounts, SLS Passenger Side 70 duro as well, and The Weapon R Engine Damper. I don't have any Vibrations inside the car, the car feels awesome, no Wheel hop, and is helping me to put the power to the ground, i really recommend using the Weapon R damper, it really absorbs lot's of vibration and prevent the engine from moving aggressively..

hmm... I wonder if the Medieval f/r motor mount plus the Weapon-r engine damper will be overkill...

I recently had the F/R CS inserts and AWR sidemount as recommended by the Daily Drive recommendation thread.
It was a definite shocker when I first drove the car. It was a WTF have I done reaction for sure.
What's shocking too is how much louder the car is too. Engine / exhaust sound is amplified somehow. Very cool though as it feels like you're driving a race car.

Good news is the will break in quite a bit. Had for 2 weeks so far and there's less vibes now. Takes a few months to fully break apparently.

I have the AWR "automatic" F&R MM's and now I'm going for the sides. Once in a while I will say holy shit (vibration) but not always. The performance increase is substantial!!! I wouldn't go back even on a bad day.
