Does anyone of you know what the shipping weight of a complete Protégé engine and transmission could be?

I have a complete FS turbo engine in a crate and I'll try to remember to look at the shipping label on it tomorrow. If you don't hear from me in a day, PM me to remind me. It should be close if you subtract a few lbs. for the turbo. I also had a G-series transmission shipped and I'm pretty sure it was 91 lbs.

According to Bax Global it was only 275 lbs., including the crate. Sort of surprised me.

I am not surprised. My VW turbo diesel running weighs 290 lbs according to VW. And if you add 90 lbs for the Mazda transaxle transmission you get to 380 lbs which for a small engine with a lot of aluminum is within the norm. Is your engine a 1.5 L or 1.8?

No problem. Mine is the FS 2.0 w/ turbo.
