DOnt mod it.
Or race it.
Or ..err....
Man....Just keep the oil changed.

If your that worried..do regular oil analysis' on it to keep tabs on your motors condition.

Just for peice of mine my p5 was close to 170k and wasn't burning any oil between oil changes after i put in a new PCV valve, and oil presure sensor. I know its not an FI engine but its still the same engine as far as the block goes. Just keep tabs on your upkeep and you will be fine.

At 84K, my MSP doesn't burn any oil. Though it does smell like it is...i find that a little odd.

Mine is using just a bit, but compression is still 189-194 psi at 102k mi., and I'm in a unique position with a built motor just waiting to swap in. Still, I don't want to puke my factory block and I have worried about the starvation issue too. I was told early on to run the oil 1/4 to 1/2 qt. over the full mark, which I've done for the last 80k mi. or so. It must help, because I rarely skip the chance to take an on/off ramp balls out, and I also have run the car several times on the Cherohala Skyway and US 129/Tail of the Dragon, which are many miles of insane nonstop curves. I've never autocrossed or raced though, so don't know how things would hold up then.
