Hot on the heels of the facelifted A6 comes its more powerful sibling: the Audi RS6 Sedan. It follows the Avant variant which was first shown to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year.

The same 5.0-liter Twin-Turbo V10 engine from the Avant makes it to the sedan variant producing 580 hp (426 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque, it is mated to a six-speed tiptronic automatic transmission system and power is passed to all four wheels via Audi's permanent all-wheel drive system.

Thanks to its power-to-weight ratio of just 3.4kg per HP, it enables the RS6 to boast supercar performance. The Sedan sprints from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds, shading an extra 0.1 seconds off the Avant's time, top speed is electronically limited at 250km/h (155mph) although consumers have an option to raise this to 280 km/h (174 mph).

The interior and exterior design has been left largely unchanged from the Avant but we can see the sedan takes its rear end inspriation from the all-new Audi A4.

The RS6 Sedan will hit showrooms in October – shortly after its worldwide debut at the Paris Motor Show and it will carry a sticker price of €105,550.

Those are some badass seats. I'll take the Avant though.

Love the new audi dash design - very driver-centric like older BMWs. And of course those seats and steering wheel are tits!

that must be awsome having more power than most super cars in a family sedan
