When I had my muffler and resonatora removed I had the muffler shop put a larger piece in place of the muffler to extend the top outwards an inch or so from the stock position. That way I didnt get a nasty black bumper and any heat/melting of the rear plastic or painted area. Perhaps he wants to get a longer tip for that to work like I was mentioning?

Even super rich the car never blackened the rear bits with the stock exhaust. The Cork has not either. 21 How come?
