G'day everyone,

Does anyone know if you could put a 2.0L injen intake system onto a 1.8L engine?

The reason I ask, is because I'm from Australia, and I have a 1.8L 2002 323 astina (that's what we call protege's over here i think) and on the injen website, they have 1.8L protege 1999,2000 and mine's 2002.

But then for protege5's they only have 2.0L 2001, 2002, 2003.

So i suppose i want to know, which one of these should i be getting?

Thanks heaps, Matt.

yes, that would work just fine, the 1.8 and 2.0's are the same outside of the engine block itself (and the ignition coil packs are diff too, but you don't have to worry about that for this application)

but if you have what it says on the website, then i would get that.

I would wait for a couple more members to chime in with their wisdom so that you're confident in your decision.

good luck!

Thanks alot for the quick reply mate,

The problem was though, that I don't have either of those ones on the site, i have a 2002 1.8L not a 1999 or 2000, and i have a 1.8L not a 2.0L 2002/2003.

But I could get away with a 2.0L one right?

i'm still going to say yes, the external engine parts such as: intake, header, exhaust and such...those parts don't really matter what size engine it is... (except the P5, which is longer than the sedans)

Fixed. The P5 exhaust is shorter than the sedan
