HID Low beams and fogs...What do I need to buy

The title says it all, I'm looking to install HID lights for my low beams and fogs. I've seen the HID kits, but I'm really not sure what all I need. I'm hoping someone here can help guide me in the right direction (i.e. Brands, Bulb #'s....etc.) Is the install pretty straight forward? Anything else I should know?

low beams are H7 bulb, and the fogs are 9006. go to a website i think its called xenon expert and they have plug and play kits that have really small ballasts so its easy to mount/hide and everything else just plugs in. you can also use ebay.

edit: the kit is made by apexcone. just google xenon expert and you''ll be there

Bought the H7 55W Apexcone kit in the 5000K (white) temperature range for the headlights.
Bought the 9006 55W Apexcone kit in the 3000K (yellow) for the fogs.

I bought the 55Watt kit because they're brighter than the 35W kits

I also recommend only getting 3000K (yellow) for the fogs, as the beam pattern of the foglight housings are horrible and the light becomes extremely scattered. Anything other than yellow will cause tons of glare and will blind oncoming traffic. 4300K to 6000K is fine for the headlights.

Well, the price has come down considerably. Because when I bought them you had to add Lifetime warranty for $25 and add the extra beefy wiring harness for another $30. Now it comes included!

Looks like for you the out the door price would be around $310 total shipped for the two kits. I paid around $420 about a 6-8 months ago.

What you want to be careful of when you do something like this is getting a higher wattage than the light housing itself can tolerate. Higher wattage kits will produce more heat, and that can burn/melt your lenses, wiring, etc.

Was the headlight install straight forward ? I've read that people have to cut the dust boot to fit wires. Thanks.

its all plug and play, very easy. also, the apexcone kit from xenonexpert.com has very small ballasts that are easy to fit anywhere when you install it all. so easy a caveman could do it

Umm, the stock halogen bulbs are 55watts. Being halogen they inherently have more heat because they are less efficient. 55W HID kits run cooler.
