Well I got the car NOT that long ago... Maybe about 4 months ago. In the last 2 months I decided to put on the Custom SMIC, Weapon Hard Pipes w/ custom couplers and T-bolt Clamps. SS afc v2 Tuned to 7 or 8 psi (cant remember). Then I also purchased and intended to install Medieval Motor mounts. AWR sidemounts and an AEM UGEO Wideband, Hid's etc......

I love the car, but with ALL honesty (is that the correct spelling) Dont need a car, work is about 20 mins away from a bus that is only 3 blocks away, MTA takes me anywhere I need to go, and my job gives me transit passes so taking that would be free... getting rid of the car would save me around $400+ a month...

But I am so torn between a beautiful car and $400+ a month =/

keep it as a weekend toy!!!

Thought of that, But $$$ is somewhat of an option to me, Im 20 w/ a baby girl, goes to her (not child support, cuz im not a dead beat) Insurance for me is 700 every 6 months I pay about 250 a month on the car loan... sigh* having an xtra 400 would be great, but then again having this car or a car in general is greater

Its a toss up seeing that you live in NYC, can you ever really get up on it there?

I couldn't imagine not having a vehicle...even with buses or whatever. What about taking a chick out on a date or whatever.

If it's not a financial burden!?

Taking a chick out is out the question, I got NO MORE SWAG for a girl, lol i been couped up w/ the same girl *cough*fiance*cough* for a couple of years now,

And its not really a burden as it is a financially wise choice..

Ill prob just throw it up on the FS section see if I can get a buyer, if not, then I'll keep

its good to see that you have good priorities!! However if it doesn't impact your ability to be a great father then I say keep it man. You have to have a few toys yourself. Just dont spend as much on it to upgrade and it will be around for awhile. Put your mod money towards your little girl and every once in awhile buy yourself/car something!

I'm a single dad of two boys and have no life whatsoever except my car!

As mentioned by stealth good to hear you have your priorites straight!

You can always buy a car.....I'd say part it out then sell it.....

but as was said...if the car is your "passtime" or "hobby" or whatever..and makes you sane after those long days of parenting/husbandry...then keep it..we all need toys...some just more than others...

A car is probably the worst money investment you can make, depreciates like mad and people are never willing to pay the money (and time) you invested in it when you sell it. But cars are grown up toys, they put a friggin smile on your face everytime you make a crazy manoever or shift on the red line. Tough to comment for me since I don't have kids yet, but I think if I didn't need my car and knew the money saved would provide a better life for them, I would sell my car in a heart beat.

drop your insurance down to recreational vehicle insurance and keep it as a toy.

Yeah man. I can understand your reasoning behind wanting to see it.

Obviously you know the right thing to do. So, just put the sign up.

I still stand behind keep it if you can aford it just only add mods every so often and not throw a ton like you did at it. Not that they are bad mods but it sure sounds like you dumped a ton of money on mods in the short amount of ownership.

if you keep for weekends only insure it as such or as a show car, lot less money that way

i had a car in brooklyn for like 3 weeks and the only attention it got was from the cops for alternate side parking tickets. needless to say it was sold and i didn't need a car for the five years while living in the city. my parents always have a spare, so if i needed a car i would just borrow that one. i say sell it.

Well I work for the dept of Homeland and security, parking tickets i never get, and same with moving violations... once they see my badge (even tho i dont shove it in there faces) they just warn me and say have a nice day...

Otherwise car has served me greatly, got me laid here and there, to work on time, put a couple of cars to shame... to many memories already in a 5 month old car
