google protege garage. They sell used engines for I believe a grand. Or just go to a junkyard and find yourself a 2 liter from a protege or P5. Same engine.

Sorry to hear that bro, may I ask wat happend? How much were you boosting?

well i was boosting at 8lbs. i was driving to work one night and then all of a sudden i hear a weird noise and then a bunch of smoke came out the engine so i pulled over to see what happened and i saw all my oil on the floor.towed it home so the next morning i checked the car i had 2 holes on the bottom block come to see that i broke 2 rods and 1 piston

yup...you can thank mazda for that...you can use any 01-03 FS engine...i have a spare engine but i cant sell it, b/c i know sooner or later my engine is going to blow and kill itself..i dont know why mazda didnt sell a spare engine with the car..ive never had a flat but they sell me a spare tire..(uhm)(bang)

go to car-part.com... make sure you have your head checked.. could have messed it up.. when i blew mine up it did.. btw.. there are some forged pistons in the fs forum, then all u need is forged rods,.. and you can be alot safer!
