Anyone have pics of the MS CAI turned into a SRI. I know a couple people have done it but I Can't find a thread about it. Also did making it into a SRI cause any problems.

It works, plain and simple. I had a CEL from the MS CAI, I turned it into an SRI and all the problems went away. I also get less surging.

I'll go take a pic right now. I converted mine one day when I was bored.

I didnt notice any change in power changing it... Just a little bit of a different tone to the intake. gives a slightly more audible than CAI set-up "sucking sound" and the bpv is a little more noticable than before. I'm going to be switching it back to CAI when I get/install my CBE later this week.

Haha I wish I could say that, but the midwest is a little slower. So has the dealership given you any crap about making it a SRI. And have you had a CELs because of it. Basically any problems?

Well I don't think I can say I'm the first person that oredered one... but I was the first to take one home anyways, unless someone took one home before 2-21-08?

About the Intake though... Havent taken it to a dealership since I changed it, so they havent seen/don't know that I have it in this configuration. I'm going to put it back to CAI form on thursday anyways. No CEL or problems running. I just did it for the heck of it. I figure the way it was designed by AEM it's meant to run best in CAI configuration.

thanks for the pics! I wanted to check that out. I would do it too but like you said its probably better the way it was designed to perform as a full cold air intake

I swapped a cold air for a short ram on my 350z and the audible notice was much better, and I noticed quicker throttle response.... this may be tempting to try on this car especially being turbo, it might make a nice difference in turbo whine/spool sound. I'm all in it for the sound it makes!
