I have a 2006 Mazda 3.
I put a cold air intake on my car. My problem is that when I floor it, my engine service light comes on. I'm guessing that it is not used to the intake and is reading too much air, whereby turning on the service light. Is their a chip that I should use to make this problem go away?
Also, if anyone knows of somebody in boca willing to install Angel Eyes on my Mazda 3, please let me know...
Thanks

you are probably getting a CEL cause when you floor it the engine moves more and is stressing the wires going to your maf... thats my prediction anyways. what kind of intake is it? ebay or a good brand?

Just loosen up the MAF wires a bit. As tsunami says, that is most likely your culprit.

I got if the intake off of ebay. I can double check to see what the brand was. --> LARAW, I was looking at some of those picture from the meet that you guys had and I saw that you had the Angels Eyes Installed on yours. Did you do those yourself, or did you have somebody else do them for you?

I did them myself... I've done about 6 installs on other people's cars too.

Laraw, which kits have you installed/how much do they cost, and how difficult are they to install? You have to bake the headlight right?

I have the Angel Eyes all ready to go, but the guy who was originally going to do them was worried about screwing up the light. Hey Laraw, would you be willing to do mine and how much would it run? I would do it but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to installing them...

I've installed kits from The Xenon Store and The Xenon Expert. They do have to be baked... but it isn't too big a deal. :)

Where are you located?

I'm located about 20 minutes west of FAU Boca Raton Campus; right around the intersection of Glades and 441. I'm willing to make the trip depending on where you're located. If its to far, I'll see the next time I would be heading to your location, and perhaps I could meet you there.

Alrighty then... may have to scratch that one, unless I just happen to be making a trip down there. In your free time, if u happen to speak to anyone that does the same installation near the Boca Raton area, feel free to let me know. Thanks anyhow!
