So a friend and I decided to go take some pics at a nearby garage...out of all 70+ here are the best....Some are repeats but there are differences. Lemme know what you think.

Looks like you were compiling images for HDR?

I really like the first one.

Antoniogut

nope...i dunno how to do HDR lol.

1st is my favorite for sure, looks like somethin that should be in a Mazda Magazine

You can make HDR photos using Photoshop (or other programs) by compiling three or more images taken of the same object, but at different exposure settings (+1, 0, -1 at least...can go up from there). The software then compiles the images, and with a bit of cleanup, you get something like this:

http://images27.fotki.com/v989/photos/9/98454/5176570/combinedHDR-vi.jpg

http://www.theslipperytruffle.com/log/hdr3.jpg

Basically, the longer exposure times gets the whites and light colors without being too dark, the shorter gets the darks without being too light. Combine it all and you get some pretty interesting/spectacular shots.

HDR shots seem pretty interesting indeed. I have a D60 and I've been meaning to try, but I'm not sure they would come out so good freehand, but tripods arent very cheap...haha

Standard is an 18 to 55 mm with a focus down to .9 ft (fellow XTi user)

Sorry if I missed it, but what camera are you using?
I carry my Canon550 for quick snaps, but thinking of getting something for stuff like that. The low light capability is amazing, and where my mini shooter is seriously lacking.

i think he is using a canon digital rebel XTi. in hindsight i wish i saved up for a Nikon D700 or D300 a photographer friend of mine has one and i like it a little better.

Antoniogut

ya its a Rebel Xti with the normal starter lens (18-55mm)

it takes amazing pictures.

Nikon is a good brand but they are a bit overrated I think, IMO

You have to see the originals on a good high def monitor they look even better

damn i wish i knew how to get pics like that

also looks like i need to invest in photoshop. i think there is a lot of hype to the nikon but it is way more tollerent to dark conditions and can also right faster some can do 100 shouts continuous before they slow down as ours after about 10-20 its a goner.

Well, before you drop $200+ on photoshop, look around...there may be programs out there that do what you want to do for 1/2 the price. Just do a bit of shopping around online, look at the features the program offers, and decide what you want to do. Otherwise you're going to pay for a program that can do 10 million different things and only end up using about 40 of them. Photoshop is an extremely powerful program, but for just photo-processing it is a bit overkill. Look into Photomatrix...it also does HDR compiling along with photo processing.

Also, take a look at this link...it explains HDR a bit more

Here's a cool car HDR shot:

You can see this one has more of a surreal effect to it.

ya or you could learn how to use torrents and download photoshop....

in no way am i implying i have done this or am i promoting it and its not my fault if you get caught lol

another good program that MIGHT be free is the software that came with my camera you might be able to download it from canons site but they have basic features which i mostly used like brightness/contrast/saturation/etc

That picture with the Tacoma in it is the best photoshopped pic of a Taco I have ever seen. Would've gotten a 2009 TRD Sport quad cab short bed if not for the lack of money. Love those trucks man.

haha, i think it looked rediculous when i did it, but i was bored. i shoulda fixed the wheels and extended the front bumper down...but then again i still think it looks rediculous being a 4door. at first i wanted the xrunner but the 4door was more practical. i also have a leer bed cover with it that looks really nice with it

It is a little funny looking but it's like a low-rider Taco and who wouldn't enjoy that?

Major point for a commercial:
"My Tacoma now has the versatility of a truck but I can drive it like a supercar!!! Thanks Photochoppers*!!!"
*Photochoppers is a reliable truck lowering company...do not use
