Whats the first thing i should check? This video is under full boost/acceloration
It boosts up to 6 and drops down to 4?
Cracked manifold?
Cold Pipe cracking?
Wastegate actuater?
Boost leak somewhere else?
Ive replaced a lot of the vac lines... dont think its a vac problem. If it is, i think its the connection coming from the IC to the coldpipe. It is "loose" there... ive tightened the clamp as tight as possible and it still is a little wobbly ? I plan on replacing that to an aluminum pipe soon.
(vid just uploaded, may take a few to process on youtube)

did this just start recently? did you change anything recently? leaking bov? boost leak?

no, i got the car a mo. ago. and have been fighting this "leak" since.
Put new vac lines on
Put new hotpipe on with new BOV (helped a lot!)
But i just recently hooked up the boost gauge. so i dont know if its been spiking/crashing like this forever or not. Id imagine, since the boost feels the same (kinda stutters/cuts out half way through boosting)

maybe its the gauge. my cousin bought a broke gauge off a member once..

The spiking seems fine, doesn't seem to go over 7psi. My car (bone stock) spikes to 7 psi and settles at 6 psi. But your car seems to be losing boost. Have you tried blowing into the vaccum line going to the WG? Also, you should build yourself a pressure tester (search in here, there is one how to on it...not sure if called pressure tester though.....) and check for leaks connecting it to the turbo air intake and pressurizing the system with a compressor (or bicycle pump). Take it to 10-12 psi (you'll see it on your boost gauge) and listen carfully for noises or spray the pipes with soapy water and look for bubbles. Good luck!

well, its at mazda right now...
they are saying the turbo is bad, that it is leaking oil......... also saying i have a gasket from the converter to the exhaust pipe that is bad ?

My car will spike up to 8 but then settle around 6. I don't have any sort of boost control, only FMIC, CAI, and exhaust

well, wasnt the turbo. but i went ahead and upgraded it anyways. it was just the oil line going to the turbo causing the oil leakage. the boosting problem the mazda guys say its the shitty tune job by mazda. the recommend getting an AFC

check the WGA also. these are a pretty big problem at certain mileage. it might just have a small leak and not be completely blown out.

Seriously a 2lb spike is nothing. Try spiking 19 and settling at 10.

yep, i have seen msp's that will spike that high when the WGA completely goes. there are actually some zoom-zoom-booms on these boards at those spikes. it is just good to catch them when they spike a couple of pounds. if you wait, well, you know what could happen.

this is normal up to 7 and end at 5psi
if your car have a leak the idle up and down and the check engine light on with po171
if you want more boost adjust the actuator rod two turns not more
the stock engine support 10 psi without any problem

I would say get a digital boost guage! Blitz makes a turbo timer with a boost guage built in. its very easy to install. there is a great how-to with pictures. you can find it by searching it on google.
