took off mbc and only seeing 10psi

i took off my mbc today and put it back to stock and took it out for a drive and i was hitting 10 psi and holding 10 psi but thats it did i do something wrong:confused:

Sounds like your running off the WG only and didn't hook up the Factory BC correctly or the hose came off.

If you're running WG only you will only see 10PSI. I had a dual MBC where when flipped to off it ran WG only and on it ran boost. Under WG only it ran 10PSI max. I would use this mode for Valet parking :)

thats what i was thinking but i have everything back to stock the little hose is going to the wastgate to the selonoid and the thicker hose goes to the compressor housing on the turbo and then to the wastgate. right?

i get 14.5 psi off wastegate pressure alone

there are 2 ports for the solenoids. one where the boost goes in and the other side that bleeds into the the intake system. i bet you have the lines swapped. that or a huge leak from somewhere.

The wastegate as I am sure you know, accepts the larger tubing to the underneath side of the actuator. Thats all i know about this wastegate. I hope to learn alittle bit more this weekend.

I also learned something about leaking aways back. It happens to the best of them. But this isn't leak in my opinion.

ATP ships their turbos with the 10psi wastegate.. I am the same way for the past three months now. Hosed up like factory (with custom pressure source on hotpipe), it will only hit 10lbs unless you have the SB set it to otherwise or have an MBC/EBC.

if it is hooked up like factory, the OEM boost solenoid should be raising the boost to 15-16psi just like it does for a stock turbo car.

this last week i have been playing around with it and couple days ago i would randomly get 15 psi. i put my boost controller back on and all is good i guess im at the same amount of clicks as i was when i first put it on so i dont think im leaking im holding 17.5 strong
