so i wired my FTC1 today and i noticed some thick grey jacketed wires spliced into some of the wires going to the ECU. one into the O2 sensor wire, pink/blue, and another into i think it was pink/ green. both also had a second wire coming out of each of them going to a common black/grey. another thicker grey jacketed wire was spliced into the crank position sensor wires, with i think a common ground as well. it was fucking weird.
i pulled back the tape a little bit on one of them and the wires were just twisted together. i dunno what the fuckin deal is. no idea if it's stock or the douchebag owner before me did it. i left them alone because they were inside the main harness all the way through to the engine bay before i lost them, which makes me think they could have been factory. but why not solder the connections? and what the fuck?
