I have a major problem with my front rotors!!!! I can't get my front rotors off for replacement. I'm mechanical and stumped. I've beat, heated and even tried a 10inch gear puller. They won't even move a bit. Yes everything is removed. My next step will be to pull the entire hub and try to press it off. I wanted to get a 2nd opinoin before I go the extra mile. Any suggestions?

it sounds like I'm not the only one that has had this problem? Does pulling the hub and pressing it out sound like it would work because the hammer and puller aren't working?

soak the hub area with a Rust buster for a while and thn hit it from the rear with a Rubber coated deadblow hammer...Not a regualr hammer.
If that doesnt wor..I would simply heat it up around the hub area and it will loosen up.

yeah, soak the hell out of it with PB blaster, wait a couple hours, and start hammering. If you're in the rust belt, you should definitely look into coating the back side of the rotor hat with anti-sieze to prevent that from happening again.

With a extra 2 hands we heated and beat at the same time. Success!!! I've done brake jobs on a number of vehicles and never had such a hard time getting the rotor off. I use to restore pre 1971 vw vans and would have no problems even if they were dragged out of a field. Drum brakes are normally the worst but this took first prize. Thanks for the replies!

Heat almost always does the trick..If applied correctly.
Glad you got them off.

that, of course, is not to be confused with a Dell Wrench (you know, for your Dell computer)
