I had my water pump changed on my 2001 Protege today. The garage said it was leaking. Since I picked up the car, the air conditioning hasn't been working. The lights come on, and the fan blows, but the temperature doesn't drop. The AC was working fine when I brought the car in for servicing.

Could the mechanic have forgotten to reconnect something when he put in the new water pump? Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

to get to the water pump the timing belt has to be removed... one of the things needed to be removed to get to those is the engine mount... removing the engine mount involves wrestling it through the A/C hoses and he might have inadvertently damaged the hoses
