yeah so i had the bov vta without moving my maf to inbetween my bov and throttle body so...my car would die when i pushed in the clutch or let off the gas and when i shifted it would sutter...basically horrible.
Now with the help of some weapon r pipes, protege garage relocated my maf, and most of my pipes. Also, since i had a custom fmic made by them, my alluminum pipes were just plain alluminum. They got "ridges" put on the end of all the pipes so the connections of all my pipes are now rock solid! NO stalling problems, slight studder at times but i have maf moved and bov vta so i expected a little bit of that so im happy! ALSO we got my guages wired up and put in one of THE FIRST "forcefed fabrications" dual guage pod....looks DAMN hott, my favorite method of mounting the guages. I hate the a-pillar way OH MY HOW ORIGINAL OF YOU TO MOUNT THE GUAGES ON THE A-PILLAR! haha i wanted to find a sweet may to mount them, and forcefed provided that way, so many thanks to him! And ken and company down at protege garage pulled some fuel via the s.s afc and now my car is happy! No more smoke blowing out the exhaust, way better mpg, faster!
enough talky PICS!!!

The only plans i have now for the car is to get my friggin' msp bumper and lip painted and put on, black out the headlights while me+buddies do the bumper, install custom painted msp heatshield, heat wrap all pipes in engine bay...then its SHOWTIME!!!

Looking great man....
Don't heat wrap the piping....
just get that heat shield on that manifold...it makes me sad to see that thing in there....
Finally coming together, and running right....Good job

Thanks man, why do you say dont wrap the piping, the lastest issue of i believe import tuner dyno'd heat wrappng/cooling products and just wrapping the intake for the turbo pipe netted 1.8 whp, they also got a few ponies from wrapping the turbo and the i.c pipes...i figure that can only help along with the mazdaspeed heatshield(is that what you mean when said "it makes me sad to see that thing in there, the ms heatshield?)
again thanks for the feedback!

I've heard both sides on the wrapping......You're call...I think that most of your piping looks great as is...Talk with someone that knows more...maybe like Ken...haha..
and the heatshield comment, I mean the manifold currently looks like hell...which is normal, and not your fault, and will look a LOT better when you put the heatshield back on...

haha yeah, it was tapped for an egt guage (ug....) and the plug i have in there is too tall, the heat shield hits that before it goes all the way down, so hopefully this week ill get a smaller on and can put the heatshield on.

I would polish the heatshield it would look better it would go better with the pipin and better for show quality

the heatshield is getting the "mazdaspeed" logo painted hit temp red, and everything else is gonna be black, i was thinking of using black heat wrap on the pipes then to kinda match. Blk pipes w/red couplers and blk/red heatshield

+1 it won't stand up to the heat, period.

not even with wrapping the manifold first, then using 5,000 degree paint?

powdecoating might stand up better to the heat.

Not even powdercoating will like heat that high..It can get hot enough to "Re-Gel" as it does in the curing and baking process.
If you have to coat it..use a Ceramic style Heat coating done by a professional..Not at home.
Just trust me..I wouldn't steer you wrong.

Damn sucks to hear that because I got a powdercoated heatshield with a high temp powdercoat from kooldino.

High tem may be ok....Depending On what the Cure Temp for it is.
Even Cearmic coatings are similar to PC...but they Melt at higher temps when curing.
He may be using a Similar material and Just calling it a PC , because essentially..that's what it is.

I hope so. He did say when I had both the shield and valve cover done that he had to order a special powdercoat different then what he used on the valve cover so hopefully it will hold up.

hmmm well i guess my paints gonna melt then cause i got the damn thing painted already....
but i talked to some guys i went to school with and hang out that are into modding cars as well, and they all agreed to wrap up the manifold and the pipes in the engine bay. Any comments?
oh btw, i got a CEL last night....p0140 again, o2 sensor no ckt row 1 bank2, so im gonna go check that out today and replace that sensor
