I wasn't sure where to post this, but here it goes.

As some of you know, you can put larger wiper blades to increase visibility in the rain and snow.

Original size is:
21” driver side, and
19” passenger side.

I was buying some of those new contour blades, and decided to see what’s the biggest I can fit.

My new size is:
24” driver side, and
21” passenger side.

It fits perfectly, and clears everything without going off the window.
You can especially see the difference when it comes to the little triangle that’s always left by the stock blades… with the larger ones it’s virtually gone.

I don’t know if brand would make a difference, but for those who are interested, I used ANCO.

Oh, and it's on a '99 protege.

interesting, any idea if you can use the same measurements with the double blade wipers?

I'm not sure, but the contour blades, such as bosh and anco are amazing.
They work better than conventional blades, last longer, and look a lot cleaner.

The only downside is the pricetag. They're usually $40 for the pair.
I got an $8 employee discount, pluss $10 mail-in-rebate, so it came out to $22 for the pair, which isn't bad.

haha I just purchased a new set day the day before yesterday and had I seen this thread I would have supersized my blades to test. Anyway I ended up grabbing the normal size for my 2000 Protege a new wiper blade brand I think NeoFlux very very nice looking blade/arm.

Yeap I just put some ANCO Contour 24" and 21" and they fit perfectly. So much better than stock.

Does anybody know if the Bosch Icon 24" and 21" blades will fit? I'm asking because they are a little bigger on either side beyond the actual rubber blade.
